Trama:
In una nuova Era Glaciale che dura ormai da 17 anni, gli unici sopravvissuti si trovano a bordo dello Snowpiercer, un treno mosso da un motore a moto perpetuo. A causa del cambiamento climatico, l’intero pianeta è ora completamente ghiacciato. I superstiti alla glaciazione viaggiano su questo treno che effettua da anni un moto perpetuo intorno alla terra. La sezione di coda dello Snowpiercer assomiglia ai bassifondi dove vivono i più poveri che soffrono il freddo e la fame, mentre nella testa del treno si trovano gli eletti che si abbandonano ai piaceri, all’alcol e alle droghe, circondati dal lusso. Sul treno, le condizioni sociali sono davvero inique. Durante il 17° anno di questo infinito viaggio, Curtis, giovane leader della sezione di coda, fomenta una rivolta che cova da molto tempo. Per liberare i vagoni della coda, e alla fine l’intero convoglio, Curtis e i suoi compagni di viaggio tentano la presa della locomotiva in testa al treno dove si trova Wilford, il guardiano della sala macchine, in un susseguirsi di colpi di scena...[/center]
