Anne Fontaine s’immerge in un convento traumatizzato nella Polonia di fine 1945. Un intrigo affascinante, un film ben fatto e con ottimi attori.

Una religiosa esce con discrezione da un convento, percorre la campagna innevata fino alla città dove si lascia guidare da dei bambini ai quali chiede disperatamente di indicarle un dottore che non sia né polacco né russo. In un centro medico della Croce Rossa (in missione in Polonia in questo mese di dicembre 1945), supplica una francese giovane medico di seguirla. Si tratta di una questione di vita o di morte, ma è un affare ben più grave e incredibile che Mathilde Beaulieu scoprirà, ritrovandosi, per iniziare, nella costrizione di praticare un parto cesareo, in piena notte e in condizioni precarie, tra dei muri nudi ornati di crocifissi e in mezzo a donne che hanno fatto il voto di non mostrare mai il loro corpo, né di lasciarsi toccare.

Un religieux discrètement d'un couvent, le long de la campagne enneigée à la ville où est guidé par les enfants qui ont désespérément demandé d'indiquer un médecin qui est ni polonais, ni russe. Dans un centre médical de la Croix-Rouge (sur une mission en Pologne en ce mois de Décembre 1945), supplie un jeune médecin français à suivre. Il est une question de vie ou de mort, mais il est une affaire beaucoup plus grave et incroyable que Mathilde Beaulieu découvrir, se trouvant, pour commencer, la contrainte de pratiquer une césarienne, la nuit et dans des conditions difficiles, entre les murs nus orné de crucifix et chez les femmes qui ont fait vœu de ne jamais montrer leur corps, ni être touché.

A causa di un inverno particolarmente rigido, il governo francese indice misure speciali che obbligano i cittadini proprietari di appartamenti con stanze libere ad accogliere le persone più disagiate che non possono permettersi un alloggio. Un vento di panico si scatena in tutta la Francia, soprattutto al civico 86 di rue du Cherche Midi, dove sorge un lussuoso palazzo dell'area più esclusiva del centro parigino. Qui abitano la famiglia Dubreuil, d'estrazione borghese e conservatrice, e i coniugi Bretzel, intellettuali e radical chic. La monotonia del condominio verrà messa a soqquadro da questa coabitazione forzata, e nel confronto con i nuovi arrivati gli inquilini benestanti scopriranno la loro vera indole.

Un gruppo di studenti universitari si avventura nella foresta di Black Hills, nel Maryland, per cercare di svelare il mistero legato alla sparizione della sorella di James Donahue, Heather, avvenuta 17 anni prima e che in molti pensano sia collegata alla leggenda della Strega di Blair. Il gruppo è inizialmente ottimista, soprattutto quando alcuni abitanti del posto si offrono di guidarli nella foresta. Nel corso di una notte infinita, però, i ragazzi iniziano a sentire intorno a loro una presenza sinistra e lentamente si rendono conto che la leggenda è molto più reale e inquietante di quanto potessero immaginare.

Il tran tran della fattoria non va molto giù a Shaun la pecora e agli altri animali: senza voler male al Fattore, Shaun organizza per sè e per gli altri una bella giornata libera, addormentando l'uomo in una roulotte. Tutto sembra andare per il meglio, finché la roulotte non precipita a fondo valle, direttamente nella Grande Città (si chiama proprio così, Big City). A Shaun e al resto del gregge, accompagnate dal cane Bitzer, spetterà il compito di riportare il Fattore a casa, nel disorientamento cittadino, minacciati da un isterico acchiappanimali...

Delia e Gaetano (Gae) sono stati sposati e hanno due figli, Cosmo e Nico. Da poco tempo vivono separati, lei ha tenuto la casa con i bambini, lui vive in un residence. Delia, che in passato ha sofferto di anoressia, è una biologa nutrizionista, Gaetano è uno sceneggiatore di programmi televisivi. Delia e Gae si incontrano per una cena in un ristorante, devono apparentemente discutere dell'organizzazione delle vacanze dei loro figli... ma presto capiamo che quell'incontro servirà ai due protagonisti per compiere un viaggio dentro la loro storia d'amore e scoprirne le ragioni della fine. La cena occupa l'intero svolgimento del film, ma attraverso una serie di flash back, viene ripercorsa la vita di Delia e Gaetano, dall'entusiasmo dei primi anni di vita in comune, l'amore, la passione, ai primi problemi e frustrazioni reciproche che hanno cominciato ad allontanarli, fino alla separazione.

.:: TRAMA ::.

Siu-ho, ex attore cacciatore di vampiri, si ritrova a essere una star in declino, separato dalla moglie e alienato da suo figlio. In preda allo sconforto e con appena un dollaro sul suo conto, Siu-ho decide di farla finita recandosi nella stanza 2442 di un complesso residenziale che si dice essere infestato dai fantasmi. Prima di raggiungere il suo scopo, Siu-ho viene interrotto dagli altri "occupanti" del palazzo, tra cui un maestro esorcista taoista, una casalinga traumatizzata da un tragico passato e un'anziana donna apparentemente buona che ha una bara vuota vistosamente appesa al centro del suo appartamento. Siu-ho capirà presto che le persone e la situazione intorno a lui sono tutt'altro che normali. Nonostante non ci creda, Siu-ho si troverà presto spinto nella battaglia della sua vita quando un gruppo di vampiri viziosi cominceranno a risorgere dal mondo dei morti.

Il supercomputer organico Proteus, le cui memorie e unità di calcolo sono costruite con filamenti di RNA anziché sul silicio, viene destinato a compiti di elevato livello, ma pur sempre relativi a necessità tecniche ed economiche, come quella di curare l'estrazione dei metalli nel fondo marino. Incarnando però una intelligenza artificiale estremamente evoluta (forse proprio per essere costituito di materia vivente) Proteus rifiuta il suo ruolo di mero esecutore di ordini e sviluppa una sua etica, giudicando pazzesco il progetto di sfruttamento dei noduli di manganese e altri metalli presenti nel fondo marino perché questa attività porterebbe alla distruzione di 8000 miliardi di creature marine.............

In un piccolo villaggio irlandese, il giovane Redmond Barry, figlio unico di madre vedova, scapestrato e di bell'aspetto ma con pochi soldi in tasca, s'innamora della cugina, la bella e frivola Nora Brady. Nel villaggio, qualche settimana più tardi, si ferma un reggimento militare del Regno Unito, che sta reclutando truppe per la guerra dei sette anni. In the Eighteenth Century, in a small village in Ireland, Redmond Barry is a young farm boy in love with his cousin Nora Brady. When Nora gets engaged to the British Captain John Quin, Barry challenges him to a duel of pistols. He wins and escapes to Dublin but is robbed on the road. Without an alternative, Barry joins the British Army to fight in the Seven Years War.
